AVOID GETTING SICK THIS WINTER! OUR ADVICE
Compartir
Winter is coming, and with it, the cold and the snow. This leads to more crowded, poorly ventilated areas. In turn, this increases the risk of transmitting viruses and bacteria, which can cause colds, flu, or gastroenteritis - and some allergies from dust mites. A few simple everyday actions are enough to reduce the spread of germs and protect the whole family from contamination. Others can combat the presence of dust mites. Here are some tips to avoid getting sick this winter and having to use medication!
SIMPLE ACTIONS TO REDUCE EXPOSURE TO VIRUSES AND BACTERIA
- Wash your hands regularly: viruses and bacteria are mainly passed on by the hands. It is recommended to wash them often, especially after sneezing, going to the toilet, taking public transport and before preparing or eating a meal.
- Clean exposed surfaces: door handles, toilet seats and flushes, taps, remote controls, and telephones are often breeding grounds for germs. They must be regularly disinfected. Likewise, it's important to sanitize fabrics that come in contact with the hands, such as sofas, throw blankets and cushions. Finally, consider disinfecting your washing machine by running an empty wash at 90 degrees once a month.
- Avoid unnecessary contact: a handshake or a simple kiss provides the perfect opportunity for a virus to spread from one person to another.
